Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before you register and pay. You will be asked to confirm that you have read and understood them.
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions apply when you register for any Skill Mountain Academy (SMA) programme. By ticking the box at checkout and paying, you confirm that you have read them, understood them and agree to them. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Refund Policy.
2. Who can register
You must be 18 or older. If the learner is under 18, a parent or guardian must complete the registration and payment and accept these terms and our Privacy Policy on the learner's behalf.
3. Your registration details
You agree that the details you give are true and complete. We use them to confirm your payment, send your learning resources and contact you to start your training.
4. How training works
Each programme is taught one-on-one online by an SMA mentor. Your mentor will agree a training schedule with you. Programme length, content and tools may be adjusted to suit your level, goals and pace. You need your own device and a reliable internet connection.
5. Fees and currency
The price shown for each programme is the price you pay, in Nigerian naira (NGN). Where a crossed-out price is shown, it is the previous price. US dollar amounts are approximate and for guidance only. Learners outside Nigeria pay in naira, and their bank or card issuer may charge conversion or transfer fees. We may change prices for future registrations. A price change does not affect a registration that has already been paid for.
6. Payment
You can pay through Paystack (card or bank transfer) or by a direct bank transfer to the SMA account shown at checkout. SMA does not see or store your card details. If you pay by direct transfer, you must send us your teller (proof of payment) on or before the scheduled date for the programme. Your place is confirmed only after your payment is confirmed. We then send a welcome email with your curriculum and a link to book your classes to the email address you gave.
7. Scheduling
Please attend sessions at the times you have agreed with your mentor. If you need to change a session, tell your mentor as early as you can so it can be rescheduled where possible.
8. Learning resources and intellectual property
SMA owns, or has permission to use, all programme materials, recordings, the SMA name and logo, and the content of this website. Learning resources are for your personal use only. You may not copy, share, resell or publish them, or record sessions, without SMA's written permission.
9. Conduct
We expect respectful behaviour towards mentors and staff. SMA may end training if a learner's conduct makes it unsafe or impractical to continue.
10. Certificates
A certificate of completion may be issued by Skill Mountain Academy when you complete the programme requirements set by SMA. It is an SMA certificate. It is not a university degree or a qualification awarded by a government or professional regulator unless we clearly say so in writing.
11. No guarantee of results
We teach practical skills and give career guidance, but we cannot promise a job, a promotion, income or an exam score. Your results depend on many things, including your own effort.
12. Cancellations and refunds
Our Refund Policy explains when you can get your money back. Please read it before you pay.
13. Privacy and cookies
How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, and what this website stores on your device is explained in our Cookie Policy.
14. Our responsibility
We will provide the training with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for interruptions outside our control, such as power or internet failures. Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under Nigerian law that cannot be removed.
15. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you register applies to your registration.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have jurisdiction, unless the law gives you the right to go to another court.
